Pinewood Cat Lodge

Our family run beautiful and exclusive cattery is located in Kinvara, Co. Galway. Treat your cat by choosing our first class 5 star cat hotel for their next holiday. We are located at the foot of the Burren, on the border of County Galway and County Clare, along the Wild Atlantic Way. Tastefully designed and decorated in a relaxed, tranquil and appealing style, your furbabies can indulge themselves. As well as having their own cosy room, your cat can lounge with us in front of the fireplace in the light-filled “living room” and can enjoy the fresh country air in the “garden rooms”.

Pinewood Cat Lodge is decorated with pictures on the walls, wood-look tiled floors and a wood-burning stove, all of which help to make your cat feel at home.

All 9 guest rooms feature handmade wooden shelves, elegantly decorated with privacy, comfort and relaxation of our cat guests in mind. We do everything we can to make your cat feel at home during their stay with us.

We have 8 Classic rooms and 1 Family room. Our Classic rooms accommodate 1 or 2 cats from the same household. Most rooms have a napping area overlooking the living room, so cat guests can relax in front of the wood stove and watch TV without leaving their beds. Just like home! The rooms are designed to give cat guests privacy while they settle into their own space, but can also be stimulated by the view of the garden rooms. The family room is more spacious and can accommodate up to 4 cats from the same household.

All guests have access to our living room and garden rooms, at the owner’s discretion, giving the cats the opportunity to meet in a supervised meeting space or to roam the garden rooms and breathe in the fresh Burren air while watching some birds.

We keep owners updated on their cats’ progress during their stay, either through private messages or publicly via Facebook and Instagram. We would love you to follow us even before your cat comes to stay with us.

You are very welcome to visit us and have a look around the Cat Lodge in advance of your cat’s stay. We are located 20 minutes from junction 17 of the M18, approx. 45 minutes from Galway City, Ennis, Athenry, Tuam and approx. an hour from Shannon Airport, Limerick City and Athlone. Please ring or message me to arrange an appointment. All visits must be by appointment only to minimise disruption to the guests.

Our vet is Ballyhugh Small Animal Clinic in Gort, Co. Galway. Outside of the clinic opening hours they provide a vet on-call service 7 days a week.
